Project Description

The project involved the upgrade and extension of a vacant schoolhouse adjoining Roybridge Primary School to provide crèche and workshop areas for all of the community including links with the primary school to ensure its long term viability and needs of this dispersed but distinct community.
A ground source heat pump with a vertical borehole supplied underfloor heating and hot water to provide an energy efficient system with low running costs.
A mixture of cedar cladding and granite dry dash complimented the natural stone school building in a stepped roof arrangement in slate and timber eaves.
