Over 30 years’ experience as a Chartered Architect involved in design and delivery of many sensitive community and residential projects throughout Argyll since 1993 and has led his own practice in Oban for over 10 years.
Over 35 years’ experience in a wide variety of construction projects with emphasis on condition surveys and technical appraisals of conservation buildings.
Over 26 years’ experience in a wide variety of construction with specific emphasis on design and eco solutions for domestic projects utilising CAD and 3D modelling. This extends to his own home which has been constructed to passive house standards.
Brian is a keen cyclist and committee member of both North Argyll Cycle Club and The Annual Oban Sportive.
With responsibility for running all the office systems and accounts.
MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE
Being a relatively small office, the management structure is simple and the staff members act as a close knit team, supporting each other as necessary on particular projects.
Iain Campbell oversees all commissions personally and remains directly responsible to each client to ensure delivery.
Staff continuity is carried through all projects from inception to completion to ensure that an identifiable and known point of contact is always available.

IT & COMPUTERS
Computer aided design is carried out on AutoCad using PC’s. All computers are networked with data being backed-up on a daily basis.
The practice also holds NBS and RIBA technical indices and a number of other software applications and has the in-house capability of producing high quality computer 3D images and animations.
The practice has a policy of upgrading its information technology systems on a regular basis and is managed at Principal level. All staff have email and internet access, allowing the exchange of written and graphic information by e-communication on a daily basis.
In addition, CP Architects operate an in-house intranet where staff can access shared information, technical indices, British Standards, office policies etc.
We have an electronic document management system allowing us to carefully manage, file and retrieve documents.
I.T support is provided by Matrix Computer Services who are tasked with providing software and hardware back-up on an annual consultancy basis.
