Project Description
This development of a brownfield town centre site represents the first new build rental housing for ACHA in Oban. The layout was maximised to meet housing needs with 3 storey, 2 bed flats and 4 bed family units with a varied street frontage and open southerly aspect allowing roof mounted solar panels to supplement hot water requirements and space heating provided by wall mounted gas boilers. Timber frame construction with piled foundations and an external pallete of warm grey stained timber, white render and grey roof tiles provide a robust and low maintenance finish in a form and scale to suit the residential townscape context.
