Project Description
The project involved the erection of a new boathouse, slipway, decking and timber pier on the west shore of Loch Awe.
A masonry base, allowing for fluctuating loch levels, supports a timber superstructure clad in Scottish oak in natural weather finish, with circular feature windows to each gable and a pitched corrugated metal roof. The boathouse is surrounded with a green oak deck and douglas fir piled pier structure to enable the family to enjoy water sports activities during the summer months.
Clearing of the foreshore garden allowed loch views from the main house and a landscape setting for boathouse, decking and pier.
